Hilary Bell and Eleanor Roche Dublin creative textiles

About us

Dublin Creative Textiles is a learning space created by Eleanor Roche and Hilary Bell in 2009 with the aim of exploring how textile design methods can be used by artists to inform and expand their creative processes.

The tactility of methods such as felt-making, stitch work, shibori and indigo dying techniques, mono-printing on fabric among many others, allow the participants to lose themselves in the process opening up creative pathways and connections.

With extensive experience in both teaching and guiding their students, both Hilary and Eleanor have created a space that invites experimentation and productivity. Each week's session explores a different technique and then experimentation is encouraged to see how these can be applied to the individual's work.
